Why it Matters?
Basic verification catches claims that investigation defeats entirely, including product identification failures where the claimant used a different manufacturer's product, employment record gaps contradicting exposure allegations, and treatment records inconsistent with the claimed injury mechanism. Performing that verification before extensive discovery is substantially cheaper than discovering the defect later. Mass tort and aggregate contexts make validation particularly productive.
