Why it Matters?
The searchable prior testimony is the capability that matters most, since locating a witness's earlier answer to confront an inconsistency is otherwise a matter of memory. Marking passages during testimony also produces the designation candidates immediately rather than requiring a later transcript review. For a long deposition of a critical witness the cost is generally justified; for routine depositions it is not.
